Kate Marshall, Dartmouth: Work inspired by the Place, its People, Objects and Events
2 - 15 November, 2010 - The Flavel Centre, Dartmouth (Private View 2 November 5.30pm - 7.00pm)

Kate has always found the area she gew up in fascinating.  For this exhibition she researched the history of Dartmouth and the surrounding area: reading, visiting places and talking to people.  In doing so, she found and remebered things, stories and individuals and has focused that captured her imagination.  These very personal interpretations will comprise mixed media: paintings, hand-made prints and photographs.

Unseen South Hams
21 - 23 November 2008

The South Hams is a Devon idyll: a magnet for the wealthy with a high proportion of second homes and a thriving tourist industry.  Beneath its venner of beauty and affluence there is another less documented South Hams, all too easy to airbrush out when portraying it.  Unseen South Hams is a project by local artists to redress this balance, exhibiting work that hopes to draw attention to, and to find beauty in the places, people and problems so often overlooked.  It will take place at the Old Library, Newcomen Rd, Dartmouth 21-23 November 2008.

Move Bristol
2011

'Move' is an exhibition designed to display the talent, relevance and  invention of contemporary artists living in an area lazily stereotyped as a haven for touristy arts and crafts as well as the appeal of Bristol as a cultural centre and viable alternative to London.
